So, who’s the
TheraPeT lead dog?

Sandy Brown is the top dog in charge at TheraPeT. As an avid pet fan she knew she was interested in bringing the principles of physical rehabilitation to our four-legged friends. She received a Master's of Science in physical therapy from the University of Kansas Medical Center where she earned the Joan Mills Clinical Excellence Award. Sandy was in the first graduatiing class to receive the Certified Canine Rehabilitation Practitioner designation from the University of Tennessee. And she was weaned on a canine rehabilitation internship at the celebrated Alameda East Veterinary

Hospital, home to the popular Animal Planet television show "Emergency Vets."

Sandy now lives in Lawrence, Kansas, where she shares her time with her husband, three cats and her dog Trooper...not necessarily in that order. Sandy fondly remembers her ornery pot-bellied pig, Ziggy, who motivated her to sniff out animal physical rehabilitation and then served patiently as the recipient of her first therapy treatments.
